Konstantin Averin

Konstantin Averin is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta and is currently the Director of Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. He received his medical degree from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. After medical school, he completed pediatrics residency, pediatric cardiology fellowship and sub-specialty training in pediatric and adult interventional cardiology at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. His clinical and research interests are focused on the percutaneous treatment of pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart disease with a focus on patients with single ventricle physiology, transcatheter pulmonary valves, and pulmonary hypertension.
