Khyati Pandya

Currently, I am the director of pediatric and congenital electrophysiology affiliated to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, Augusta, GA as an associate professor in the division of cardiology. I am pioneering the initiation of a brand new pediatric electrophysiology program at this institution. Prior to this, Thereafter I was affiliated as a pediatric electrophysiologist to the Batson Children’s Hospital, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS for a little over four and a half years. I completed my medical school degree from the K J Somaiya Medical College in Mumbai, India. Thereafter I trained in Pediatrics (Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India) followed by Cardiology (Southern Railways Hospital, Chennai, India) and practiced cardiology at the renowned JIPMER institute in Pondicherry, India, before coming to the US in 2006. I went through training in Pediatrics (Michigan State University, Lansing, MI) followed by Pediatric Cardiology (Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/ Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH) followed by an additional year of training in pediatric electrophysiology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada. As an electrophysiologist, I am proficient in performing most invasive EP procedures, commonly performed in children and adults with congenital heart disease, such as radiofrequency and cryoablations for most types of arrhythmias, implanting loop recorders, pacemakers and defibrillators. I am board certified in pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease. My clinical and research interests comprise sudden arrhythmic death syndromes and innovative techniques for complex ablations.
