Adult Congenital Heart Disease
Leeds, UK
I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2007 and specialised in cardiology from 2011 when I entered a combined research and clinical role at the University of Dundee. In 2015, I successfully submitted my MD thesis looking at the role of glycaemic control in the development of heart failure in patients with type 2 diabetes; whilst continuing with clinical cardiology training. I completed by general training in adult cardiology in 2016 and moved to Leeds Teaching Hospitals for sub-speciality training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
I completed my consultant training in 2018 and spent the following year doing a combined locum consultant post and fellowship in congenital echocardiography. In August 2019 I took up my current post as Consultant in Adult Congenital Heart Disease at Leeds General Infirmary.
